Investigators say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after he pretended to be a Kershaw County Sheriff's deputy and tried to force a woman to take off her clothes.

Sheriff Jim Matthews says the woman told authorities the fake deputy showed a badge and a flashlight and demanded to come into her home on October 2nd.

Matthews says when she complied, he handcuffed her.

Threatening her with a taser, the teen said she was under arrest and he had to strip search her, so he ordered the woman to undress.

She said she couldn't with her hands cuffed behind her back.

When the teen removed the cuffs, the woman struck him in the face and ran from her home.

The suspect also fled, but the woman was able to identify him just hours later.

The sheriff says the boy confessed to the incident and has been charged as a juvenile.
