Four shooting incidents in less than 24 hours in Columbia and Richland County on Friday and Saturday left two people dead and four wounded.
Columbia police say three persons were shot just before 9 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Martha Street.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says 21-year-old Nathaniel McKelvin III of Columbia died at the scene and was found in front of a home.
Two other males were transported to hospitals.
Then around 11:30 Friday night, Richland County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting in Eastover at Dodamead and Joyner Streets.
Sheriff's Sergeant Curtis Wilson says that victim was last reported in serious condition.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, a Columbia man who had been shot was found lying on the ground in the 2500 block of Bailey Street.
Coroner Watts says 22-year-old Willie Gilmore later died at a hospital.
Meanwhile, in the 3500 block of Bailey Street, a man was shot around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said his wound was not thought to be life-threatening.
Authorities were investigating to see if any of the shooting might be connected or gang-related.
