(Orangeburg, SC)  --  Thousands of people are being warned about a possible data breach at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.

Officials are reaching out to 20-thousand current and former students, and faculty members after a laptop was stolen from a staffer's office on July 7th.  The laptop contained their personal information, including names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers.

As a back-up, the school is installing encryption software on all of its computers.
