A suspect in a fatal shooting during a home invasion in Richland County has been sentenced to life in prison.

Greg Isaac said he shot Antonio Corbett in self-defense at Corbett's apartment along Fernandina Road in October 2005.

Isaac claimed he was forced to accompany two other suspects to rob Corbett of money and drugs, there was a fight, and Isaac feared Corbett was going to shoot him, so he shot the 29-year-old baby store supervisor.

But prosecutors argued that no one has the right to break into a home and then claim self-defense to avoid punishment.
