A Sumter County nightclub that was the scene of a deadly shooting over the weekend is being targeted for closing.
Sheriff Anthony Dennis describes Club Miami as a “nuisance and dangerous menace” and says he's starting the process to shut it down.
Dennis says there has been repeated and ongoing violence over the past few years at the club on Broad Street Extension near Shaw Air Force Base.
In the latest incident early Sunday, deputies found two wounded men in the parking lot.
33-year-old Tyrus Archie had been shot in the chest and 26-year-old Rayquann Jenkins was shot in the leg.
Archie died at the scene.
31-year-old Rodney Green (pictured) of Rembert was charged with murder after he was taken into custody in a nearby field.
