A father and his two children who had been missing in the Congaree National Park have been rescued.
The National Park Service says they made voice and visual contact with JR Kimbler and his children earlier this morning.
Crews had been searching the Congaree National Park for the three since Saturday night.
The three were taken to a local hospital for observation, but officials say the family appears to be in stable condition.
More than 50 people are involved in the search in the park about 15 miles southeast of Columbia. The Richland County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Park Service Rangers, the Lexington County Fire Service and the Columbia Fire Department are assisting in the search.
