ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP/WVOC) - Authorities have released the names of a mother and toddler who died in a fiery crash on I-26 near Orangeburg.

The Times and Democrat newspaper reports that the Orangeburg County Coroner's Office has identified the victims as 21-year-old Deshonta Beaufort of Huger and her 23-month-old son Salamo Bell.

The two died in a wreck on the interstate early Monday.

The victim's vehicle was traveling east on I-26 near the Highway 301 interchange when their car left the highway, hit a tree and burst into flames.
