Two people have been arrested on drug charges after marijuana was being pushed over the Internet.

Richland County Sheriff's Sergeant Curtis Wilson tells WVOC, “The sheriff had received copies of online posts showing what appeared to be marijuana cigarettes and someone disrespecting the department, holding the marijuana cigarette in his hand and also an obscene gesture in front of a RCSD website.”

Wilson says the Drug Suppression Team investigated and determined the hand that was featured is that of 30-year-old Jeremy Clayton of Blythewood.

Wilson says undercover buys were made from Clayton on three separate occasions, and then a search warrant was conducted Thursday at his home, where drugs were found.

Clayton is charged with distribution of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute.

A second person at the residence, 24-year-old Margaret Rogers, is charged with possession.
