(Columbia, SC)  --  South Carolina will have a Democratic Governor, but only briefly.  Today, Governor Nikki Haley is undergoing surgery on her right arm for carpal tunnel syndrome.  The injury is being attributed to her hand-signing 39-thousand letters since taking office.  During her recovery, Lieutenant Governor Yancey McGill will temporarily take over the governor's office.  No Democrat has been in South Carolina's top office since January 2003.
