Woman Found Battered With A Name Written On Her Chest, Suspect In Custody

Police in Myrtle Beach say they found a woman badly beaten with a name written on her chest in a motel.

Officers responded to a call at the Holiday Sands Inn where they found the woman badly beaten and bleeding on a bed. Motel video surveillance helped investigators find and arrest Chase Wall who now faces several charges including assault and battery.

The victim had the name "Asmoday" scrawled in black ink on her chest. The word resembles the name "Asmodeus", a demonic entity referred to in the book of Tobit and also a character in the role play game, Dungeons and Dragons.

The woman was treated for her wounds and told police she only remembers being hit in the face.
