A motel parking lot video showing a fatal confrontation between Greenville County deputies and Jason Mendez, from earlier this month has been released.
The early morning altercation ensued when neither Mendez, nor his fiancée, Kristen Clark, would comply with demands to open a window, to answer questions.
Mendez suffered 4 gunshot wounds in the incident and died at the scene. The family feels the officers were not justified in the shooting.
SLED and the Greenville County solicitor's office continue to investigate.
