Woman Indicted Over Use Of H-Tax Funds

A state grand jury has charged Patricia Ford with five counts of perjury for not telling county officials the truth, about how she spent over $28-thousand dollars in county hospitality tax dollars, H-Tax money, to attract tourists.

The charges allege she was putting it in her own pocket, instead. Her group was involved with an annual spring Jamaican-themed reggae concert in Columbia, the Carolina Sun Splash Festival, but few other events or activities.
