State lawmakers yesterday approved a measure requiring insurance companies to cover a year's worth of birth control pills.
Supporters say the legislation will save the state money, and help prevent unwanted pregnancies.
This measure will also make it much easier for women to get the doctor-prescribed contraceptives.
