State Department Gives Haley "Building Blocks" For Public Comments

U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor, is allegedly being censored by the State Department.

Haley has been outspoken about foreign policy issues, including Syrian strikes and Russian sanctions.

According to an article published in the New York Times, the State Department has asked her aides to have her public remarks cleared by Washington first. The e-mail says the diplomats are asking she follow "building blocks" that they have outlined for her.

The e-mail allegedly says her comments will need re-clearing if they refer to "high-profile issues" like Syria, Iran and North Korea.
