Secessionist Party Protests Removal Of Confederate Monuments

The South Carolina Secessionist Party says they plan to raise a Confederate flag every year on the anniversary of its removal from the Statehouse.

Yesterday, the group put up a plastic post to raise the flag on the Statehouse grounds in protest of the removal of Confederate monuments around the country.

They say the state removed the Civil War banner in 2015 and said it would be placed in a museum, but the exhibit hasn't been put up yet.
