Former SC legislator Chris Corley is expected to plead guilty today to domestic violence, a charge that could put him in prison for a decade.
The hearing in Aiken will also see Corley’s wife ask the judge for leniency. The Aiken Standard reports Heather Corley blames a previously undiagnosed bipolar disorder for her husband’s behavior.
Authorities say Corley attacked his wife during an argument the day after Christmas, and that his children witnessed the physical abuse.
