Senator Tim Scott is denouncing President Trump's views on the white supremacist protesters at last weekend's deadly clash in Charlottesville.
South Carolina's junior senator and the U.S. Senate's only black Republican said in an interview with VICE News yesterday that Trump's Tuesday comments comparing peace protesters and white hate groups as both having "bad people" makes him "morally compromised."
Scott also said Trump could still redeem himself with the American people.
