West Nile Mosquitoes Found In The Midlands

A greater number of mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus are discovered in the Midlands.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control confirmed this week that 22 pools of larvae containing the virus were found in Richland County, the highest number recorded in the state this year.

In addition to area sprays done by local government, residents are encouraged to drain, dump and cover outdoor containers that collect water.
