Damage Assessments, Cleanup Continues Post-Irma

The damage by Tropical Storm Irma is still being assessed in South Carolina as residents whose property suffered damage continue cleanup and repairs.

Governor McMaster lifted evacuation orders for the state's eight barrier islands yesterday morning.

At Sullivan's Island, Mayor Pat O'Neil noted the rough weather Monday cost the island some sand dunes and there was significant beach erosion.

WCSC-TV also reported that some low-lying businesses near the town hall received flooding that was about six inches deep.
