Georgetown Mayor Advises Residents To Stay Vigilant Ahead Of Flooding

(Georgetown, SC) -- Despite some relatively good news, Georgetown residents should be vigilant ahead of what the mayor calls a silent assassin.

That's how Mayor Brendon Barber characterizes the expected flooding from Hurricane Florence.

After initially calling for up to ten feet of flooding, forecasters yesterday lowered their expectation to about three feet.

Rivers around Georgetown are expected to crest tomorrow or Saturday.
