That's what Senator Lindsey Graham and others wrote in a letter sent to Trump yesterday.
Trump wants to bring the troops home because ISIS has been defeated, but Graham and others say conditions on the ground paint a very different picture.
They also say the American troops are a vital shield against ISIS and provide critical support for the Kurds.
