Miscommunication Leads Suspect To Get Away

(Columbia,  SC)  -- The search for a man considered armed and dangerous is still on, despite a run-in with police.

Shortly after Samuel Neathery allegedly robbed a credit union at gunpoint in Richland County Tuesday, a Columbia Police officer made contact with him.

Because Neathery had not been identified as the suspect at that point, the officer did not know it was him and let him go. The search is now focused on the Charleston area.
