(Lexington, SC) -- An EMS worker is facing charges after allegedly slapping a child in Lexington County.
West Columbia's Scott Ludwig turned himself in this week for third-degree assault and battery.
The 44-year-old allegedly hit the seven-year-old while trying to restrain him during a call last week to West Columbia's New Bridge Academy.
Deputies say the boy was hit after trying to bite Ludwig on the arm.
