(Hopkins, SC) -- Some soldiers from Richland County are doing their part to promote stability in the Middle East.
A ceremony was held this weekend in Hopkins for National Guard members being deployed overseas. They'll spend nine months serving in Operation Spartan Shield.
The mission is to promote regional self-reliance and increase security.
