(Sumter, SC) -- The level of violence in the Sumter area is reaching unusually high levels.
Nineteen-year-old Christopher Thompson and 22-year-old Michael Sigler were killed yesterday in an apparent drive-by shooting on Cherryvale Drive.
Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
This marks 10 homicides in either Sumter or Sumter County in less than four months, and the coroner tells WACH Fox he has never seen this many murders in such a short period of time.
