Former Columbia Police Chief Sentenced For Gun, Drug Charges

(Columbia, SC) -- The former Columbia Police Chief will spend up to 30 months in federal prison. 

Randy Scott was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty in August to gun and drug charges. He was ordered to surrender nine guns in his possession as part of a plea agreement. 

He had resigned as police chief in 2013 and was arrested back in May.
