Gamecocks Men's Soccer Coach To Retire After 2020 Season

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina Gamecocks men's soccer coach Mark Berson will retire at the end of the season.

Berson is the winningest active coach in NCAA Division one men's soccer and one of only four Division One coaches to win five hundred matches.

Berson founded the men's soccer program back in 1978 and since then has led the Gamecocks to one College Cup final and 21 NCAA Tournament appearances.

In a statement released this week, Berson says it has been an honor and that he is appreciative of every student-athlete who has worn the Garnet and Black.
