South Carolina House To Debate $10 Billion Budget In March

(Columbia, SC) -- A 10-billion-dollar budget plan will be debated on the South Carolina House floor in March.

That was the unanimous vote of the Ways and Means Committee yesterday. Lawmakers say the budget has many of the proposals submitted by the governor.

It also makes education a top priority, including raises for teacher salaries and a boost to starting wages for teachers.
