Man In Custody For Allegedly Having Pistol, Ammo At State House Protest

(Columbia, SC) -- A 19-year-old is in custody for allegedly carrying a weapon at a State House protest.

Officials say Dominic Gladden is facing charges for unlawful carrying of a pistol and illegal acts during a State of Emergency. He is accused of refusing to leave after curfew took effect last night, at which point authorities allegedly found a pistol and an estimated 70 rounds of ammo on him.

Gladden's arrest is one of over 50 that came from weekend protests in the state capital. Other arrests were for looting, violating the curfew, disorderly conduct, and weapons charges.
