(Columbia, SC) -- Health officials in South Carolina are reporting the highest number of coronavirus deaths in a single day.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 24 deaths yesterday, bringing the state death toll to 759 since the pandemic began.
Also reported were 1.497 newly confirmed cases. That brings the Palmetto State's total to 37,809.
