SC Supreme Court Rules Against Gov. McMaster's Private School Grant Program

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Supreme Court is ruling against Governor McMaster.

He will not be able to use CARES Act funding for private school scholarships. McMaster was trying to use 32-million dollars of his Governor's Emergency Education Relief funding for students to attend private schools.

The state's highest court ruled in favor of those who filed suit to stop the program, including the Orangeburg County School District and SCEA.
