Travel Down At Airport, On Highways Despite Thanksgiving Season

(Columbia, SC) -- Travel is down at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, despite many going home for Thanksgiving.

A spokesperson tells WIS-TV the first week of November saw 62-percent less travel than the same time last year. Other regional airports are reporting similar trends.

On the roadways, the South Carolina Highway Patrol says there was slightly less traffic than in past years.
