Lexington Richland School District 5 Will Not Return To Hybrid Learning

(Lexington County, SC) -- Lexington Richland School District 5 will not be reverting back to a hybrid learning model.

A special school board meeting struck down a plan last night that would've limited 7th through 12th graders to in-person learning only two days a week.

This comes as Superintendent Dr. Christina Melton reports 22 of the 23 schools in the district have positive COVID-19 cases among faculty or students.

The board did not reach an alternate decision, but did pass a motion to create a dashboard that would share the number of coronavirus cases at each school and the number of students and faculty quarantining.
