Publix To Begin Distributing COVID-19 Vaccine In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) -- Publix will be distributing the COVID-19 vaccine in South Carolina. 

They are partnering with the state to vaccinate healthcare workers, staff and residents of long-term care facilities, government officials, and anyone age 70 or older. 

The vaccinations will be by appointment only beginning tomorrow. Appointments can be made online for the 42 Publix pharmacies across the state starting today.

DHEC announced 2,946 new cases yesterday. An additional eight confirmed COVID deaths were also reported. The percent positive rate was 23-percent.
