100 Indicted In Prison Drug Trafficking Empire

(Columbia, SC) -- Around 100 people are indicted in a drug trafficking empire in South Carolina.

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson says contraband cell phones allowed inmates to smuggle and move drugs throughout the state.

About 44 pounds of meth, 11 pounds of heroin, over three pounds of cocaine, and 82 firearms have been seized in connection with what's being called the "Prison Empire." Of those indicted, 10 are already incarcerated.
