South Carolina Lawmakers Consider Election Bill

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina lawmakers are considering a bill that would make election processes more uniform across the state.

House Bill 3444 would give the State Election Commission the power to rule how elections are run.

This would take power away from county election boards, preventing voting issues from being handled differently county by county.

The bill has passed its second reading and next goes to a procedural vote before being sent to the Senate.
