(Columbia, SC) -- A bill that would protect sex trafficking victims from certain prosecution will be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee this week.
A subcommittee approved the bill late last week. If passed, it would prevent victims of sex trafficking from being charged with prostitution.
This would apply only to crimes that are not violent in nature.
