Lawmakers Consider Bill To Change South Carolina Elections

(Columbia, SC) -- State lawmakers are considering a bill that would change South Carolina's election system.

The Election Laws Subcommittee had a hearing for House Bill 4150 yesterday.

If passed, the bill would set up a 14-day in-person early voting period, establish how many early voting locations each county would have, ban the use of drop boxes, and remove some of the groups eligible for absentee voting.

The subcommittee did not take action on the bill.
