South Carolina AG Sues Columbia Over School Mask Mandate

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Attorney General is suing the City of Columbia over their mask mandate in schools.

AG Alan Wilson says the ordinance violates state law. His office says the lawsuit also applies to cities, towns, counties, and school boards who pass similar mask mandates.

Mayor Benjamin says the ordinance is not in violation of any state law and is a legal and ethical obligation to protect the health, safety, and well-being of Columbia citizens.
