(Clemson, SC) -- Clemson University is confirming its first cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19.
Ten samples looked at by an on-campus lab tested positive for the variant, which is now the dominant strain of coronavirus in the U.S.
The samples were obtained through community and university testing. They mark the first confirmed omicron cases in the Upstate.
