DHEC Reports Record-Breaking COVID-19 Cases To Start New Year

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina is seeing record-breaking COVID-19 case numbers two days in a row.

More than 10,000 new cases were reported on Saturday and Sunday.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control says South Carolina surpassed one-million COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began on New Year's Day.

DHEC says testing delays may cause the actual number of cases to be higher than they're reporting.
