South Carolina Hospital Association: Hospitals Filling Up From COVID Surge

(Columbia, SC) - Hospitals in South Carolina are filling up as COVID-19 cases continue to surge. 

The South Carolina Hospital Association says more than 78-percent of acute care beds in the state were occupied as of Tuesday. 

More than 76-percent of ICU beds are also occupied. 

The organization says of the hospitals in the state that do have ICU bed capacity, twenty of them are at or over 90-percent capacity.
