(Columbia, SC) -- The University of South Carolina's live mascot is keeping his original name.
The school had announced "Sir Big Spur" would be known as "The General" this season.
This was due to a dispute between the new owners and the previous owners.
The two families have since resolved the dispute, allowing the live mascot to continue going by "Sir Big Spur".
