Convicted Murderer Sent Back To Prison By State Supreme Court Ruling

(Columbia, SC) -- A convicted murderer is being sent back to prison after being released early during a secret hearing.

The South Carolina Supreme Court decided 3-to-2 to vacate the order from retired Judge Casey Manning, who allowed Jeroid Price to be released from his mandatory 35-year sentence 16 years early.

The Court determined Price's release was unlawful because the minimum sentence for murder under state law is 30 years. In response to this situation,

Governor McMaster is ordering an audit to see if any other inmates have been released in secret.
