Convenience Store Owner Charged For 14-Year-Old's Shooting

(Columbia, SC) -- A convenience store owner in South Carolina's capital city is accused in the shooting death of a 14-year-old.

Rick Chow is accused of chasing Cyrus Carmack-Belton out of his Shell gas station store in Columbia Sunday night, then shooting him.

Police say Chow suspected the 14-year-old had been shoplifting, but after reviewing surveillance footage, they confirmed he had not.

Officials also believe Carmack-Belton was running away when he was shot.
