(Columbia, SC) -A Columbia man is dead after exchanging gunfire with Richland County deputies.
Police responded to a home Monday morning when a power company employee reported a man pointed a gun at her.
The suspect fired shots at responding deputies before barricading himself inside.
Authorities say the man eventually came back outside and pointed his gun at deputies, and six deputies returned fire, killing the suspect.
No deputies were hurt.
