Alex Murdaugh's Longtime Friend Sentenced For Federal Conspiracy

(Charleston, SC)- A longtime friend of Alex Murdaugh will spend time in prison after pleading guilty to a federal conspiracy.

Cory Fleming was sentenced Tuesday to three years and ten months behind bars followed by three years of court-ordered supervision.

This comes after Fleming confessed to conspiring with Murdaugh to defraud the estate of Murdaugh's former housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield, who died in 2018.

Fleming must also pay restitution of over 100-thousand dollars and a 20-thousand dollar fine.
