(Beaufort, SC)-- Disbarred attorney Alex Murdaugh is committed to spend more time in prison after a negotiated plea deal was accepted yesterday.
A Beaufort County judge sentenced him to 27-years for close to two-dozen state financial crimes.
Murdaugh's attorneys have already filed a motion for a new trial connected to the murders of his wife and son in Colleton County.
The 55-year-old was given two life sentences earlier this year.
