Cost Of Smoking In South Carolina Lower Than Other States

The real cost of smoking is high, both financially and healthwise. In South Carolina, the financial cost is 42nd in the nation overall according to a Wallethub.com study.

Despite the lower financial cost, the survey shows the lifetime cost is still one and a quarter million dollars per smoker. The annual out of pocket cost for a smoker in South Carolina ranks sixth lowest, but still comes in at nearly 100-thousand dollars.

The most expensive state to smoke in is New York.
