The City of Columbia is looking for help in designing a new flag. Officials feel the flag is outdated and is rarely displayed.
The Columbia Design League, along with One Columbia is launching a competition to redesign the flag. An official from One Columbia says ten finalists will be selected from public submissions.
After public input, a jury of officials and designers will recommend the final design to the mayor and city council.
